Do we have the loss of theaters in China?
Telugu film Pan India Range The Tollywood Route has become a major success abroad. Making the film a big release not only locally but also abroad. Producers are adventurous. Many Bollywood films, including Dangal, have boosted the market in China. To that end, there is a need to release huge Pan India films before that.
China was born the Corona virus at exactly the same time. The pestilence was sent abroad and caused world devastation. This devastation is not confined to any single sector. The entertainment industry in particular was in turmoil. Our producers who are planning to plunder the Chinese market beyond the Indian market have become irrational.
The corona blow has already closed the theaters. It closed in theaters all over the world including India and America. But the country is likely to reopen in August. The idea of opening theaters in China as well. But according to a survey in China, people have decided not to go to the theaters.
Should theaters be open? A survey of 187 theaters was conducted. About 42% believe that "theaters are likely to close" in the near future. Only 10% feel that with a change of ownership they will survive. Theaters in China have already closed for 130 days. Even if they reopen soon .. there is a possibility of going bankrupt. About 40% of the 69800 cinema screens across China are expected to close. It is estimated that there are about 2,920 screens shutting down in 5 thousand places.
However, there are currently several large Pan India films on the sets. All these are planned to be released in India as well as in China. In particular, Rajamouli-DVV Danayya is already considering releasing the RRR in China. Looking at the current scene doesn't seem to be possible. To that end, it must be considered an unintended consequence for Tollywood.
